Face masks required in elementary and middle schools
The school board took action on August 26 to require indoor masking for all people in the school setting (preK through grade 8) including staff, students and visitors, regardless of vaccination status. The masking requirement will take effect at all elementary and middle schools on Monday, August 30. Learn more about masking requirements and possible exemptions online.
It is strongly recommended that all staff, students and visitors to our high school, ALC and Transitions program and Central Services Building also wear a face covering.
The board will revisit the masking requirement as transmission rates decline and vaccines become available for younger children.
